hey guys i have a se k550i and wanna know how to mod it...........all the mods and specially improving camera quality.................i know there may be many threads like dis but please i dnt understand those................which softwares do i need and instructions please>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.......<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

1) Menu modding: You need to learn FAR/XS++ and how to modify menu.ml files. The thread for this has already been mentioned.
2) Camdriver: Read the new modded camdriver for k550 thread on this forum. Should be on the first page.
3) Acoustics: nothing much to know really... I prefer the w880i default. They're louder and very very clear. You just need to know where to dump them

Post any queries on this forum only after doing some research here or on se-nse.

PS: My K550 has all these mods and has been flashed to w610i. Its really nice...

Hello Akshay,
I too recently brought the K550, first let me tell you it's a fantastic phone, take good care of it and it will work wonders for you.
1. Go through the link in thinkdigit and you can convert it into a W610 phone, the main feature there is the Walkman player 2.0, although pl get original good quality HPM-70 headsets.
2.Firstly use the k550 for at least 2 months before flashing so that you are used to the system.During the flashing process see that the process is not interrupted, OR ELSE YOUR PHONE IS DEAD FOREVER!!!!!
3.Keep the brightness at 50% for a longer battery life.
4.The camera is as good as the K750, if not better, in daylight it probably one of the best 2 MP camera in the world, only drawback being that the camera module is smaller then the k750(nothing can be done in this aspect)
I will send you some instructions on how to take good snaps from the k550.
Believe me its a great phone with some freat features normally found only in high end phones.
