I had this problem with my W850i, but solved it, now it's come back to haunt me.

The problem was that when I copied an album to the phone, it wouldn't play in the right track order when using the Walkman function.

I solved this by having my Media software create a playlist for each album.

For example, if an album contained files called
01 - track1.mp3
02 - track2.mp3
03 - track3.mp3

then the walkman might play track 2, then 1 then 3.

The playlist would list all the tracks in the right order, so I'd play the playlist, rather than the album and it would all work.

Trouble is now on my new W910i, it doesn't.. The tracks are in the same folder, the playlists are the same, but it won't see the files.

I always had my media software set to save the files on the memory stick like this:-

\Music\MP3s\\\

So for example you would get files called

\Music\MP3s\U2\Achtung Baby\01 - Zoo Station.mp3
\Music\MP3s\U2\Achtung Baby\02 - Even better than the real thing.mp3

and so on.

The playlist would be saved in the root of the memory stick and when opened in notepad would have the paths listed exactly like that above.

This doesn't work on the W910i. The only way I have found to make it work is to have a playlist inside the album folder, and the entries in the playlist have no path so for example the playlist would be called

\Music\MP3s\U2\Achtung Baby\Achtung Baby.m3u

and it would contain the following text
01 - Zoo Station.mp3
02 - Even better than the real thing.mp3

Does anyone have any ideas as to how to get this to work as I don't want to have to manually create playlists every time I sync an album.

All my mp3s are tagged correctly with track numbers, and I've even tried the rubbish Sony media manager software.

Any ideas?
