> What to buy it South Korea?
Bookmark topic
My dad is on a trip to South Korea, so I thought I would ask him to buy me something, question is, what should I get?
It's my 21st soon, so I won't be paying for it, but I need to no what will be worthwhile buying in Korea, (if anything).
Basically, I want something highly technologically advanced on the cheap.
Should I get a phone - If so, will it work in UK? if not, will I still be able to get any use out of it.
Or a DLSR camera ?
Or a megaportable laptop? (12" or less).
What do you guys think, and where should I tell him to get it? He is there for another 3 weeks.
EDIT: It is South Korea, yes, my mistake.

*North* Korea isn't exactly *South* Korea.Maybe you should check in Wikipedia.Or maybe you're wrong and he is in South Korea(which is indeed the tech-land

)
So I would say a UMPC.The phones won't work in Europe.
EDIT: IF he is in North Korea after all,say you want a bomb or something

Do you not mean
South Korea? I wouldn't have though North Korea would have much in the way of electronic gadgets, given the situation there.

North Korea or South Korea??
In south Korea, you get the big chebols(hope the spelling is right)..especially electronic majors like Samsung,LG,Hyundai etc...Samsungs are much better IMO.Check out their korean website to see if anything interests you.
In North Korea, there isn't much economic development afaik...more like a communist dictator country..

I've been to North Korea. It's not as you believe it to be.
What they show on tv and how it is, is VERY different

you might get the AK-47 mobile which was displayed on esato news pages...
i've been told there is a new version which includes a small nuke.. not shure it's allowed in US
but for real... NOrth korea isn't much like the wealthy and high-tech south korea.
i know it's possible to get like 200cd's/dvd's with all kind's of software and movies for a small 15euro's
but you proble can't take those back home.
it's possible to buy a chimp/monkey but yet again ... can't take those home
