HELLO to every CELL geek here,
I have been trying to buy a phone from last 4 mths and bcoz of one or other reasons , it never became possible 4 me to do dat.

HERE IS WHAT I have been able to finalize as far as my priorities are concerned and
i think i have written almost everything i need and what i dont need
AND THEY HAVE BEEN NUMBERED priority wise
( I DONT SHOUT WITH CAPS SO DON MIND)

ofcourse i dont require almost every feature and thats why i think i shd get sm gud 1 in and around RS 30k or approx $700


SCREEN (>=2.6" ) : MUST (CAN'T Live with SMALL DISPLAY)
RESOLUTIION( 240*320 ) : MUST (MORE, will be GREAT)
COLOURS ( 16 million ) : ALMOST MUST (BUT 256K will do,IF other requirements r met out perfectly)
EDGE : MUST
3G : MUST
CAMERA (>=2MP wid FLASH) : MUST (MORE, will be GREAT)

MEMORY
INTERNAL ( >=64 MB ) : MUST (MORE, will be GREAT)
EXTERNAL ( >=512 MB ): MUST (PREFER 1GB; IF NOT,SHD be EXPANDABLE)
by
INTERNAL I MEAN phone's internal memory and not ram.
EXTERNAL I MEAN provided with the phone itself and not memory slots which can help upgrade memory

BLUETOOTH ( A2DP) : MUST
QWERTY KEYBOARD : ALMOST MUST (BUT can cut on that,IF other requirements r met out perfectly)
TOUCH SCREEN : ALMOST MUST (BUT can cut on that,IF other requirements r met out perfectly)
WI FI : ALMOST MUST (BUT can cut on that,IF other requirements r met out perfectly)

USB : +/- ( LIKE to have)
GPS : +/- ( LIKE to have)
TV OUT : +/- ( LIKE to have)
FM RADIO : +/- ( LIKE to have)


FACTORS LIKE SIZE, WEIGHT, FORM/DESIGN -- DONT MATTER.


BTW afterTHAT , regarding SE ONES , some dear ESATONIAN'S RECOMMENDED,
( I would be mentioning only d cons here as i m satisfied with other features of these)

1) K800 - Looses on first priority i.e SCREEN
- NO WIFI
- NO EDGE
- NO EXTERNAL MEMORY PROVIDED

2) P1i - one of my choice BUT
- NO EDGE ( i think out here in our part of d world dats only available
till nw and even operators r still not prOviding EDGE at ALL places
THEN WE ShD forget abt 3G DAT WAY (thou many big operators r
installing/procuring 3G equipment and waiting for spectrum realease)
(SO think smtimes dat even 3G IN MY PRIORITY SHD not be "MUST",OK LEV IT)
- SO CALLED "HALF QWERTY AND HALF TORTURE " KEY BOARD
- WIFI IS INFERIOR CLASS (802.11b), thou not a big prob.

3) P990i - one of my choice BUT
- SAME NO EGDE
- VIDEO QUALITY IS D MOST BASIC (QVGA 320x240 pixels),
Shd haveben better! (with provided 2MP CAMERA)
- WIFI IS INFERIOR CLASS (802.11b), thou not a big prob.

4) W950i - som1 advised - univercell mentions cost as 29k (quite far)
- NO WIFI (inspite of dat much)
- NO CAMERA (dats horrible in dat much)

5) K790i - Looses on first priority i.e SCREEN
- NO WIFI
- NO 3G
- NO EXTERNAL MEMORY PROVIDED

6) k810i - Looses on first priority i.e SCREEN
- NO WIFI
- NO EDGE
- NO EXTERNAL MEMORY PROVIDED

SEEING ABV "only" options from SE IN DAT RANGE,i think, dude SE FANS must elaborate -
is this what SE I KNOWN FOR?
i mean sm1 looking for a so-so phone has no options in SE dat way!

I know NOKIA neither doesnt have many but quite of them r there
like N95, N 73 (~16K), E61i (~18K), N76 (~17K).
THOU THEY ALSO r nt full featured as per requirement ,
but still N95 is said to be a good option.


AND
ANOTHER good option WHICH CAME IN MY WAY IS
HTC ONES ESP HTC TYTN and new HTC P3300
what u have to say about that? any specific problems associated with them?

all of them has got m2 support...

i think he means provided in the box? but k810i comes with 128mb and also on t-mobile a free 1gig card included aswell

seems like a "dream" one for me considering all of the combination of specifications you have enumerated.

NEITHER Nokia or SE has all of those in one single unit either because of aesthetic or marketing reasons... some of your pronouncements are even debatable: just look at the posts after yours

anyway, this is exactly why the forum is here... peace.

First, sorry for late reply as i was out of town and had probs connecting to forum.

BY that i mean the same ,
i.e no memory provided along the handset.

We need to buy the memory to help it and that adds to cell phone cost as its not that cheap and
of course in the end it has a effect on total money u wanna spend on ur cellphone (as many cell manufactures provide the same with many handsets)

THE SAME here dude. ..

btw a frend here advised me to go for HTC TYTN.
seems a good one. (btw just ok camera )

other options NOKIA N95. (battery prob, no qwrty keyboard and no touchscreen )



so what other options do u suggest?
