have to say iam a bit no make that very disappointed with the phone, first thoughts are that the phone looks very bulky but my main3 moans are
1 the camera is rubbish, i had the k800i which is the best phone i have had in my humble opinion, i take a pic on the 850 and its hit and miss if the image comes out, i can take 5 or 6 pics of the same shot some come out ok, some come out dark and others come out completley dark, is this something to do with the flash?
2 phone keeps locking, seems to be mainly when iam viewing images, screen just goes blank, you can hear the keys clicking away but nothing
3 keeps losing bluetooth conection with my headset, very frustrating having to re pair device
iam on vodafone and dont know if to send it back and wait for any new phones due out over the enxt month or so, anyone tried the 770i?
it could be that i have a faulty phone but vodafone did say to me that there are some issues witht he handset like the nokia n95 (but not as bad) and it will be the same on all the handsets?
great site, look forward to hearing any tips you can share with me on this

Hello and Welcome to Esato!
I can only tell you that the issue with the flash you're experiencing is, in fact, a known bug in the initial firmware. The flash fires a bit before the shot is taken. Otherwise, the camera is superb. Beats even my K810's camera easily (which also takes some great pictures).
I suggest you wait for the firmware update.

for the flash bug,try using the twilight portrait option in the scenes mode in the camera options, works ok like this for me.
