I've had my K800i for over a year now, and it now won't even recognize/detect my 2GB M2 stick. No, it's not ebayed or fake (I've put nearly 2 gigs on there, and I got it from Amazon). I swapped it out with an original 64MB one and my other 512MB one, and the phone won't detect any of them either, so I'm sure it's a problem w/ the phone and not w/ any of the sticks.
Anyone know how to fix this? I'm extra scared to turn the phone on and off to reboot because of the recurrent WSOD problem associated with my phone. I've already gotten the WSOD twice, and twice I've had to pay $10 to Wotanserver to get it reflashed to fix it.
Or does anyone know what exactly triggers the "refresh" or "detection" or a newly inserted card? I figure just putting in a new one would trigger it, but I could be wrong.

I guess you are still on older EROM. Upgrade your EROM first to at least R3A016. Wotan can do it for free (you use 2 5 keys combination instead of c). Actually it can revive your phone for free with this (not by reflashing your phone).
You may try to clean the contact of your M2. Also if you really have to turn your phone off (restart) make sure you do it when your batt is on full power just in case.
Finally if you decide to reflash your phone, XS++2.2 or 3.0 beta can do it for you for free. You just need to find your firmware (topsony have it for 2.5 euro). To get it for free you have to search the net.

I actually already upgraded the EROM w/ Wotanserver the first time I got the WSOD, since I googled some guide that told me to do it. Unfortunately it didn't fix the problem for me, so I had to go ahead w/ the firmware flash. But thanks for the tip w/ XS++ and topsony. Someone actually PM'ed me the program, but I had no idea where to find the firmware on the net (except for pay places). I guess 2.5 euro is super cheap, so I won't waste too much time googling (which I already have done to no avail).
But yes, I've fixed the problem. Apparently the K800i does not detect memory sticks instantly or something, because what I did was take out the stick and left it for 8 hours (overnight). Then, I put the stick in in the morning, but it still didn't work then. By noon though, I was quite glad (and surprised) to hear my favorite ringtone. So I guess it takes a while to detect a new m2 stick.
