Now, the main reason i bought w200i was the price, and it being a walkman phone and hence having a expandable memory, so i cud use it as an mp3 player and have unlimited sms storage (which unfortunately i cudnt). I plug it into my car's amp.. and when in home, i am using the handsfrees.. everything is fine, the sound quality.. but! most of the times, i just get a 'Failed' message on the walkman player and the songs stop playing. Does it have to do something with my MP3s? They all arent of the same bitrate.. some are 128K, some 256.. some even 320 or 160 etc etc.. the question is, why does it stop the song, and pops up a message 'Failed'. anyone else experienced it? and exactly, what type of mp3 this phone PLAYS flawlessly?

erase the failed-songs, try to convert the same songs again before retransfer it to phone, then try to playback it again. OTherwise, u can try defrag your m2 if the failed songs still occur.

this problem rarely happen to my old w550 too

Hey be careful, it could be that the mp3 songs could be off a low quality, that could damage your phone, best way is to rip them from an original CD to ur PC and getting them from ur data cable........
