Hi there!!
I have a k800i which has been unlocked off the 3 network however all the three software is still on the phone. My question is can i restore the phone back to original software without putting the lock back on. I had two unlocked at the same time and one is all original but the other still has all the three stuff on so i can't access wap as it's all planet three. The reason i ask if the lock will remain off is that i upgraded the software on my other phone and it went to cid 52 and returned to three and cannot be unlocked again. thanks in advance.

If the phone was unlocked by code(the correct way), it should remain unlocked, as this area is different from the flash area in the phone's firmware.
If however, the phone has been flash-unlocked, then it is using the 'unlock-patched' firmware to fool the GDFS(area in the phone where simlock is stored) into thinking it is unlocked...which mean that if you flash the phone with any other firmware, unbranded or not, the unlock-patch will be erased, and the GDFS will re-lock the device......
