both my wife & I have a T68 gprs enabled. On the whole it works OK but sometimes even when the phoned right next to each other in an area where the signal is very strong, one of them doesn't always pick up the gprs signal. It's not just one phone which does this so there doesn't seem to be a problem with the handset. What could be causing this????

I live in a semi-remote to remoteish area of South East UK where we can't even get cable or adsl but I do get fantastic GPRS coverage from o2 on my T68i. Always get connected first time, no disconnections whatsoever

Hi 2tangy,

Do you use GPRS on O2 for internet access
from your PC? If yes, please can you post
some info on how to configure it ?

Thnx.

Does it depend on how many gprs channels the nearest transmitter has available. Like if the network is busy?
If it does and lots of other people have gprs near you and are using it at the same time then this maybe the problem.

@ ste_dexter

Thanks - this looks like the most likely reason.

There is to many connection to the same cell, and in this situation the connection speed drops and may disconnect. This post was posted from a Nokia 7650
