Recently my P990i fails to connec tot my home Wifi and I don't know why. It was perfect a while back but now never connects. I use WPA with a passkey. I've checked all the settings and it all looks fine. I'm thinking of reflashing the phone but any ideas before I do would be great.

I had a similar problem once and realised I'd enabled 2 sorts of security on my home PC broadband rather than just the 1 sort WPA (paranoid about locals sneaking in!).
Meant the P990 was only entering 1 of the 2 Passkeys needed!
Longshot I know but thought I'd pass this on anyway.

Firstly ensure that the router is in mixed b/g mode. If its in g only mode (or better) then the p1 will see it during a scan but fail to connect.

Does that apply to the P990 as well or just the P1?

It applies to both as they use the same WLAN implementation.

router is a DG834G and set to both. I think the software in the P990 is screwed up.

Okay, next step, turn off all encryption, MAC filtering etc etc etc and THEN see if it will connect.

Yep it will connect with an unsecure network.

Right then, your wifi is fine, its a handshaking prob.
Work your way up through the encryption options, start with WEP, then WPA and see which works.
