Hi everybody -
I haven't posted in a long time, so here is a question that I hope will help me rekindle my admiration for my SE K750i.
I've had this phone for a few years now, and it's been great. Although I still long for a more PDA-like phone, such as the M600, I'm still interested in taking care of this one, and sometime it's nice to learn new things about it, or get new themes etc., in order to better enjoy it.
So, my phone needs a clean up. It has loads of dust around the joystick, and also in the *inside* of the display.
So here is my question: on a scale from 1 to 10, where 1 is the easiest and 10 is the most difficult, how would you rate physically taking the phone apart, enough to actually dust the insides of it?

Doddle dude, added a link I used to open up my 750 and clean away the dust from around joystick and screen. Read and study it 1st tho!! You will need phone screw divers, when remove your battery cover and battery you,ll see the 2 types required. You'll also need a BLUNT!! flat instrument to slide under and along the cover. Patience and a touch of force. Mine now bears a few scars whilst I learnt to open her up. U can use special cleaning fluid around joystick base if ever it starts to fail to respond, WD 40 just as good after a small squirt, wriggle around and left overnight good as new. The forum is for a mod but can be used as a cleaning guide.
While your at it if you want to change colour of your key pads, buy some quality streets, eat the the ones with the see-thro wrappers of the colours you like, cut to fit around joystick and lay under key pad when refitting. have fun.

It's never that difficult, but it really pays to understand what you need to do, to avoid breaking pieces....
