Hello all,

i have this problem in my P990i and i just looked all through the web and checked with my friends but still was not able to solve it i really hope that someone from esato can help me with that.
I have set the time on my P990i as we all do when we get our phones, but now when i receive a message the time shows that i received it 3 hours after the actual time i received it.
e.g the time at my country (Jordan) is 10:16 am, i just received a msg at the previous mentioned time and the message shows the time receiving as 12:16 pm!!!!
I don't know what is wrong or if there is anything wrong i did in the time settings.
As i was requested to set the favorite location on my phone, i chose the following (after a lot of trying to get the best time):
* current time zone is set to E.Europe Time
* Home time zone: Greenwich Time
*Zone of interest: Greenwich Time

The time of my country is currently (GMT+2)
Can anyone please help me with this problem.
It is irritating, plus i need to know the exact time of receiving a message
Thank you and sorry for elaborating so much, i just wanted to be clear

Thanks again

The time on text messages comes from the message centre so their time must be wrong.

I have the P1i but I guess they work the same way.

-Set "current time zone" to where ever you are at the moment (may need to be changed when you travel).

-Set "home time zone" to to where you live, IOW Jordan time (set and forget).

-Set "zone of interest" to whatever you like...

So if you're in Jordan at the moment, the zones will be Eastern European/Eastern European/Whatever

Q1: The message is comming from your country of from another time zone?

Q2: The SIM you are using, is from your country or came from other place?
