I feel the same way. I thought it was because I was comparing TT5 from P910i with TT6 so I thought maybe the program was just much slower because of new features. Maybe there is some other issue after all.
Did you have the exact same setup on P990i? I mean regarding program and map location, version of map, and also the POI and display information (such as showing road names on the map)?

Yes i have the same configuration..........maybe this is a bug I hope this is fixed with new firmware. Maybe the comunication between the gps and the phone is laggy. Bluetooth problems maybe. Same problems with wayfinder7.

I've only played with TomTom a little on my P1 (haven't fitted my car-holder yet) but it seems to work ok for me...
Do you have a lot of background apps running? Have you tried defragging your memory card (assume this is possible) as that might help too if it's old...?

Common problem with TT6 I'm afraid to say. It's the same, if not worse, on the N80 and N95. Only cure for this would be for TomTom to sort it out. Firmware is not the issue.
Youtube has a video of a comparison between TT5 on an older phone and TT6 on the N95 that clearly shows this.

I hope so. TT5 was by far the best 'feature' I had on my P910i and I am a little disappointed with TT6 in that respect.
@Jumbo65
Didn't you say it runs fine on your P990? I would expect it to be at least as bad as on the P1i and the Nokias...
Edit:
By the way, here is a link to a Youtube comparison

Strange... There must be some settings or something.

I read in one post that someone with this problem on a TT5 had re-saved their speed camera POI using some POI editor and after that it ran smooth. Maybe there is something like that going on here!

Disabling as many of the POI's as possible certainly speeds things up on the P1i. The real test will be when Navigator 7.
