Both, I'm currently in Russia, which means two things. You don't get anything delivered here and if you buy a phone here you get Russian keys!

So I'm open to all suggestions.

I would say try ebay. I always find good deals there. To be honest i bought a used P1i 3 weeks after it launched and i couldnt be happier with it.

Well, it's kinda hard to say without comparing first right?

Anyway, here in Singapore it's about S$800 without a plan (~US$550). With a 2-year mobile plan subscription it's S$638 (~US$439). I got mine about 1.5 mths back at S$518 (~US$357) after trading in my "old" Nokia 7390 which was free to be begin with.

The phone sold in Singapore are all not operator locked at all.

I managed to get my phone free with a family plan contract from T-mobile. You have to work the system a little. 3rd party T-mobile stores in the US can do this by upgrading your line along with a friend or family to a family plan. Instead of giving you two new phones, they give you one more expensive phone. I had to put down a deposit, but you'll get that back in two years. If you upgrade and get a single line, for example they're able to offer you 1500 minutes for $50/-, you end up paying around $250-$300 for the phone.

i wish phones never cost more than that.

Ok, I am looking for non contract phones only. There are some markets here that sell them so this weekend I think I will check to see if I can get one with english keys and also maybe trade in my K810?

When I run a search thru google, the lowest figure I've found on the p1i is $459. That said, even though I got the two year contract thru t-mobile, my phone is not locked. But yes I can understand not being tied to a contract. I hate the business model in America. I'm sure other countries have this too, but I know countries that don't. Countries/companies that lock consumers like this advance very little, and it is quite evident in America. Quite backward in the technology sector when compared to other "3rd world" countries, everything else being just about the same with 3rd world countries, ha ha...!! Check the recent comparison on medicine and health of different countries, America came out at the bottom. Weird... Lock consumers, and then mistreat them.....

Oh excuse me, I've got my own set of aggravations against stuff like this... Sorry...
