Am I mistaken or is the sony ericsson flagship smartphone, the p1 without a dedicated car kit?

Disappointed to find my HCB-700 Bluetooth Car Handsfree Kit won't sync the address book as it's in a different format to the k series phones.

is there one on the way? anyone know?

I know it's not the same, but I bought the HCH-72 car holder, a lighter charger CLA-60 and a HPB-60 handfree. I like this setup.
It's great for long journeys with Tom tom.

There is. The HCA-60 combined with the HCH-72 would give you a proper in car kit.

Hey, I just bought the HCH-72 and I think it is great, holds the phone very sturdy. I have had a couple of comments on how big it is though, and I gotta admit it is rather big in my car.

Another problem is that sony expect you to screw this thing to your dashboard. That is the only way of mounting it unless you buy an extra arm thing for sticking on the windscreen. This costs quite a bit though.

I mounted it using some sellotape (brand, not sticky tape) permenant sticky fixers. These are like double sided sticky tape with foam in the middle. So far they are working very well.

In my personal experience... in the end, everything fails but the screws.

In my case, I found a couple unused "buttons" on the dashboard (for extras I don't have) and I screwed the holder to them.

In a friend I saw another idea: he found a spot in the dashboard, near the wheel where 2 plastic parts of the dashboard united, and he forced the screws thru the space between the two parts.
He used only 2 screws, and it's quite sturdy.

I use an arm with a suction cap on it. It cost me a few quid from the local market. Then fixed my car holder to the arm.
