i want to do this in the icons on the today screen, i have already assigned it to an application, to reassign this, i had to use the jog dial or tap the icon then drag my stylus out of its area before lifting it, is there a better, easier way of doing this?

No. For the amount of times you reassign icons (I did it once) is mega-speed really a priority?

ok, not only on today screen, sometimes i wanna select an icon in other menu (not open it) then tap "more" to look at its submenu or hit other buttons.

..I think it works just like that if you tap down outside any other icons, and then release the tap on top of the icon you want to select.
