hi to you all,

does anyone else have the same problem as me with the display...
All my white photos look slightly yellow and dull on the T650i...

It doesn't seem to be the software because white text is white, only photos are affected... I know what the photos look like on a k800 and on my monitor but on the t650 screen they are all slightly dirty coloured or yellowish..

i don't know if this is supposed to be a part of the 'nature' element of this phone, colouring photos with a slightly warmer yellow tone?

can anyone help me please?

thanks, toby

photo 1 - T650i (i know it's dark but it shows the problem well)

photo 2 - K800 (it's from theme editor but shows a true render of how the picture looks on the k800i)

Mines fine, have you changed the brightness/constrast?

Dont forget the display also adjusts depending on what the light conditions are like in the room. ( try covering up the sensor)

also, have you tried turning the phone on/off?

Also, what firmware version?

hmm...
your display shows true colours all the time ? white is really white?...
i know about the light sensor but that works fine...
and yes, i've played with the brightness...
but all my old photos take on a slightly yellow tone and i've run all the system display tests and they look fine.. it's only affecting photos..
they seem duller and not so vibrant as on my k800i or monitor...

firmware is R7AA024 (18.07.07) / Orange CH

can anyone help or do i have to change the phone?

thanks, toby

@iamcrunchie - could you please download and install my 'tranquility' theme and let me know how it looks...? thanks a million m8.

@QVGA - yes, it's always been like this and it's a brand new fresh out of the box model from an Orange Dealer...

Is it just me? or does anyone else have a yellowish tint on their screen? thanks, toby

Even my prototype doesn't do that, everything that should be white is nice and bright, including any photos or pictures!

I'd definitely take your phone back to Orange, compare it with another one, and exchange it if necessary!

hmm...
i just tried comparing in direct sunlight and shade...
i think the phone is ok, i'm just going to have to get used to seeing my photos looking different because of the changes from shade to sunlight due to the sensor.. at least if i'm trying to convince myself, then it's my eyes and not the phone..

thanks for your help fellow esatoers...

Hi!!

I also have a similar Problem with a touch of green in the display.
Like it is too cold.
But not always.
I also know another guy with the same Problem!

Maybe a software error?

Hope that you write again!

Bye
