> P1 or W960i

Advice would be appreciated here. I have used P800, P910 and P990 and was expecting to move on to a P1 soon. My provider is Vodafone and I have just discovered they are not going to offer the P1 only the W960i.
The P series suits me and I am nervous about changing to W960 and no-one is interested enough to talk to me about it! Hope you guys will.
I won't use the misic features of the W960. I don't use all the features of my P phone. Important to me are good phone, good signal, bluetooth, handwriting recognition, all messaging, camera, notes, games all the usual stuff - nothing over fancy. The W960 seems very similar on spec to the P1 but the features I want may be compromised as it is mainly a 'music' phone. I will have to save and buy a P1 whereas the W960 will be an upgrade.
Is the P1 worth the big price tag for me?
Also is it true you can't access the sms Sent folder without scrolling through the Inbox??

The only real differences are:
Looks
P1i has the qwerty-ish keyboard, W960i doesn't
W960i has newer walkman software, P1i doesn't
Different stylus, think the P1i stylus is better...
Other then that, hardly any differences. You say you're not gonna use the music features so the only thing you have to decide is how much you need the qwerty-keyboard and which one you think looks better.

Thanks to all.
Does anyone know if "Handwriting" is only an SE feature or is there non SE phone out there that has this feature?

Not out of the box, I think. And good luck running a wm application constantly accessing memory on top of another (
Anyway...the w960 doesn't have an mem- card slot.

Yep not much difference between both, personaly i'd take the W960 since i wouldn't need the QWERTY-keyboard of P1 . If you don't need that QWERTY keyboard then i think get W960,that back button will take some getting used to though but otherwise after having used both i'd say W960.
I think the Windows Mobiles like the new HTC TyTN-II have handwriting recognition.

Windows mobile (previously pocketpc) have always had single character handwriting recognition, as have all the P series and palm's
however, windows mobile has available the best cursive handwriting recognition I have ever seen or used in the form of
caligrapher. You can writ full sentences and they are recognised just about 100%

go for the P1i, because even though you wont use the qwerty keyboard it is cheaper than w960

For me it would be W960, the phone just reminds me of P800(the father of SE's P-series) and it's got a fixed 8Gb flash memory(no need to buy for an expensive card) and i love the walkman player so much!

All the favored features that were mentioned in the first post are the Same in both phones.
what might affect you is the input and moving around the phones menus. The p1i has a qwerty and Jogdial with the back button underneath. The w960i has dialpad, jogdial on the side and back button on the front.
