Hi there!

I am a complete noob here! The only flashing I have done is via SEUS, and the latest version they got is R1JG .. which has a lot of bugs... and some very annoying ones... for example.. the top right button doesn't work for browsing photos, and I can txt in Chinese anymore.

Which is why I want to use XS++ to flash to other firmwares. But I am confused as to which one is right for me.

I bought my phone in Hong Kong, but I live and use my phone in New Zealand with Vodafone. Can someone please tell me what MAIN and what FS I need? and what about the Finalisation Files.. read about these in the tutorial..

Really appreciate it if someone can give me a download link to them!!

I think SEUS didn't update your phone properly lol. I'm in NZ on Vodafone too, and my R1JG001 K800i works a dream. I don't have a problem with the top buttons, and I can also type Chinese.

But yeah, SEUS is definitely the culprit. Give it a complete flash with either XS++ (free) or Wotan (not free).

You'll definitely want to flash an unbranded firmware onto your phone, cuz being branded to Vodafone sucks balls (my mate's branded K800i is a piece of s**t lol). And seeing as you bought it from HK, and you want to be able to type Chinese again, so I'd suggest Generic Hong Kong, and a firmware of your choice.

I find R1JG001 perfect for me, but I know a lot of people here would flame me about it cuz it's considered "old" to some people here lol.

One questsion. Do I need to download the right file for the right CID? There's files for CID 49, 51 and 52 ... how do I know which one am I?

Also, I read the guide and found out I need the Custpacks, or finalisation files... where can I get them?

One last thing... there are several variants for the MAIN file.. which one do I need? there's like RED or ORANGE .. WI or non WI... have no idea what they mean. Plllleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaseee HELLLLPPP!!

Ok, I figured out how to find out my CID and the color thing is related to the EROM. All this should be revealed when I plug my phone to XS++.

Great. Now can someone please point me to a CustPack?! Please?

Ok.. one more thing .. looking at the http://www.iprotebe.cz/ site, for R1KG001, they only have the European FS? does that matteR? I bought my phone from HK, does that mean I need an HK FS?

xs++ has its own customs. you just finalize with xs++. The FS contains the languages so, if you're from europe, use that.
