I had a K850i from O2 recently and I had the problem with the flash... pictures comming out blank or very dark even in a well lit room...

So I had a replacement, but on this 2nd one the automatic lens cover would never open. This is annoying as the reason I chose this phone is purely based on fact that it's tipped to be a true digital camera.

So I came online to read up about these issues (hoping Im just very unlucky and the next phone i get will be fine) but now I'm even more confused - it appears that nearly all the phones have these problems and more than just with the camera!!!

(imagine if a company released a car with this many problems)

So what does everyone think is the best option for someone like me who doesn't know much about phones and just wants a decent working phone with a great camera?

Do keep faith with the K850i hoping that a software update will fix all these problems?

Do I cancel my upgrade and wait untill they release a new improved batch or even a new handset? (and bare with it while i use my old Nokia 3310!!! - my w810i is broken)

Do I give in completely and opt for the samsung G600? (despite the fact that i dont get along with samsungs and hate sliding phones)

So far it seems like its a very buggy phone and I am wandering if a simple software update would be enough? Maybe it needs all new hardware as well??

Let me know what you think, and bare in mind im not very good with technical bits of phones (yet)

Many Thanks, Owen

Same thing here,

Sometimes in a low light enviroment the K850 would not turn on the flash. resulting in dark pictures.

Hold the phone correct. The press down the button halfway. The phone will now adjust itself. Then press down the rest. Now the pic should be lighter.
