No, actually, there's a special T-Mobile magenta. Not the regular magenta.
I read about it a while ago on wikipedia.

But seriously now, trademarked colour?

Hi Masseur,

On reading further all is not as it seems although it looks to me like German translation to English may have caused some confusion. Although the link does make it clearer as to exactly what impact it does have with this

"Don’t worry trademarks only apply to the industry sector that they are registered under and since DT applied for their trademark in the telecommunications sector you just can’t use the color magenta around anything to do with phones, digital media… oh and just about anything on the Internet."

Although i must admit it is still quite amusing really.

Marc

yeah I read all that but it still amused me too

I remember some company tried to register a number as a trademark (can't remember the details) but I recall in the end that was not allowed

Ferrari have had their red trademarked and copyrighted for years, this is Moto doing the same thing. Tell you what, I'd love a Ferrari Red phone, but imagine a T mobile Magenta K850i, Ugh... Would you want that in your pocket.
