No!!! its not broken phone land. Its actually been done successfully, and being discussed in this thread.

Its in the works to have the qwerty keyboard and m2 slot work after the flashing, giving you the best of both phones. I will also state that it has been done successfully with the m600i being flashed to the w950i fw and still being able to use the keypad and m2 slot. Its just a matter of time.

If the M2 doesn't work then you only have 160 MB max for songs, and songs being the main reason for flashing your P1i to W960i? So you get a very nice media player but with very poor capacity?

Hi,

I've been wondering what exactly does one gain from converting P1i to W960? I don't know much about W960 but from what I've heard the only difference (software wise) is more advanced music player (ability to display visualisation as a background in standby and such).

So what am I missing here?

u gain video at 30fps vs p1is 15fps. i would also say that the reaction speed is faster on the 960i. I base that on the comments and reviews of people that have played with the 960i. plus unlike the m600i to w950i conversion u dont lose any of the buisne

what are you talking about??? playing or recording??? does the w960 record qvga videos at 30fps??? if you mean playing, the P1 already can play videos encoded at 30fps

I followed the Link in the first post and still do not understand your response!

If you are referring to

Word of caution: I'm not responsible if anything goes wrong, do it at your own risk. I did P1i WG1 flashing successfully since it involves low risk. And works great now.

Then your response of
LOL! welcome to broken phone land if you did that.

could be said for any time you update any phone using any software including seus or any other manufacturer as they will always make you agree to a disclaimer that you may brick your phone!

does 30fps actually work? or is it hardware dependent.
