The reason why I opted for the P1i over the N95 was reliability of the Nokia product. The 2 people that have N95's in my office have managed 7 between them.
I'm extremely impressed by the P1i's stability and reliability. I would go as far as saying that this is the most reliable smart phone I've owned.

Well...no surprise...the P1 is actually a very good phone, and shows that SE learned with the mistakes made with the P990...too bad they screwed the P990 early buyers in the process
I also have a friend that went from the P990 to a E90, sometime ago, hated it, and now has a P1 and his loving it to bits
still, i was loving my P990 anyway, only problem in the end, was lack of RAM

I agree, although I remain to be convinced that the p1 will work out to be as reliable as my trusty old p910! I had uptimes on that measured in months

As it is going so far my P1 will easily reach my once very dear P910 in terms of stability. This phone is simply amazing, I constantly have 15-20 apps open and it responds instantly without any sign of problem. Very impressed!

I agree that my new p1 is rock-solid stability wise, even without it running the latest firmware (mine's O2 branded). It is a shame, however, that this phone is everything that the p990 should have been in terms of the hardware platform. In my view, the whole p990 project ought to have been scrapped, rather than using hapless users as cheap R&D/beta testers. I also wish they had based the P1 on the 9xx form factor, as the ergonomics are so much better. Perhaps if SE spent less time trying to keep up with the competition, and more time actualy listening to their consumer base, they might be producing far more inovative products that people actually desire.
I myself am now a p1 owner because I wanted a p990 that worked, not due to any particular desire for a P1, and it happened that I could get a cheap upgrade from my carrier.

I've been a nokia user myself before and when I get hold of my first SE phone, I never dared to buy another nokia ever!
Now, I'm enjoying the VOIP capability of the P1!!!
