My provider just sent me some settings to try and get video calling working. The phone wants me to enter a PIN. I've tried my Sim one, 1234,12345, 0000 and 1111.
None are accepted - anyone know what this is? Can't see a reference to it in the manual either...

try plugging it in to your pc and use XS++ to connect to it. It should give something like this:

"... and the phone lock code is: xxxx"

Cheers- just looked in the log from last time I ran it, and it says 0000... so, er... doh.

The pin number they are refering to is most likley THEIR confirmation pin number that they have almost certainly forgotten to tell you about before they sent you the settings.

Vodafone (for example) give you a pin number when they send you auto MMS or internet settings you have to enter the PIN to activate the auto set up.

Nitro Fan wins

She just mailed me the number. Got it wrong, but correct second time round (her, not me!)

As it turns out, they think it doesn't work as I am on a sharetime tarriff which seems kinda silly. My mate who works at Voda is asking around to see if that's the case... will now see if these settings work...

As far as I am aware there is no settings for video calling. If you have 3G signal then it should work.

That's what I was led to believe. 3G says attached, but the phone only ever says "video calling not available".

Must be an account setting but both the provider and voda themselves confirm it's set up.

I'm not too fussed- probably won't use it very much, just annoying that something that should work doesn't!

tried a friends SIM (another member of our sharetime account) and it works! So must be something to do with me
