Just wondering what the price will be unlocked?.... I have a feeling it'll be as much as the N95 8GB here in the states, with the inclusion of the bluetooth headset in box. Shame really... If so, it's just WAAAAYYYYYY too much for a handest spec'd the way this phone is.

It was only delayed in the UK, where competition is massive. Other markets will have it on sale for import etc.

No, looks like it is available in the UK from this month as well. Apart from the quote on here, I couldn't find any information stating that it had been put back in the UK.
Got this on email yesterday: (as batesie already posted)

"London, UK – 6th November 2007 – The W960 Walkman® phone will start to ship from November 2007, Sony Ericsson announced today. With that out of the way, has anyone spoken to o2 UK about availability yet?

According to the latest version of the white papers, the bluetooth headset will no longer be included in the retail package. I guess SE wants to lower the price, but I find it a complete disgrace, given how long we've all waited for that phone. So, basically, they announce a phone in June, and they tell the contents of the retail package, and then they secretly take it out shortly before release and hope no one will notice. And there's no guarantee that the retail price will be lowered with this sneaky move. Besides, we just will never know anyway what the price would have been with the BT headset bundled...

In the end, we will get a supposedly-top-of-the-line Walkman phone with 2-year old HPM-70 (even the W950 had headphones with a LED display) and nothing else (don't even tell me about the pouch...). Does any of this make any good marketing sense???????

I was hoping to get the W960 and restore my faith in SE, now this very same phone will make me turn my back on them. Getting the N81 soon.
