Is there a difference between these two terms, a Media player and Walkman player?
Any W610 onwers out there......does the W610 have a walkman player or its just a media player with mega bass?????

Walkmans pretty much have media player. The only difference as far as I can tell on the first versions of Walkman and media players was that you could use the up and down buttons to skip between albums. The media player couldn't do this. Any differences between the two are mostly cosmetic.
However this doesn't entirely defeat the purpose of a Walkman phone as some come with other features such as SenseMe and shake control, and they almost all come with better quality headsets.

The W610 habe bother a walkman player and media player. The media player is another method of browsing the files in your folders. When playing music it will use the same functionalities as the walkman player. SO mega bass will apply.

As you know, the letter in front of the number is there for a reason.
J - Junior
K - Kamera
W - Walkman
M - Messaging
S - Slider (Swivel)
P - PDA or Professional
T - Fashion (I guess)

Walkman player 1.0 its just a skin for the media player!!! as far as i seen.
Walkman player 2.0 and up are the real walkman players!!! this have album arts, skins, better looking GUI and track search.
shake control and sensme ar new feature inplide in the Wseries!!!.
media player is just play Wlakman player 1.0./ i havent seen the K850 mediaplayer to see if it is diferent fron the K550/810
