It won't replace your notebook.. but other than that.. an m600 sounds like a good idea if you can do without wlan. (And you need something like "documents to go" for power- point).

..hm. A handwriting recognition tool to replace paper- notes... that's a really good idea.. The UIQ notes program doesn't even have an option to add a little handwriting as an object into the other text at this point.. (..Anyone know if there's a program like that available for uiq?)

yea:) will be good
documents to go? where can i get this application or any other useful ones:)

well writing notes on paper is annoying and i can lose notes at times
so i thought that these phones with handwriting recognition had like a notepad/sketchpad app compatible with the styler'' for taking notes quickly:/

also question..
so you can create and view powerpoint, word and excel files on the phone and are they compatible with the styler etc?
thanks Nipsen

Well, you can open .pps files, at least (and I mean, it's perfect for mobile units, really).. You can buy documents to Go from here. Costs a bunch, but it's a good program. But for word and text, I usually use the inbuilt open- office program, go figure..

(..a notes- program with picture- objects... hm...)

Mm. Anyone who have tried Caligrapher on wm that could say a few words about whether you would be able to use that program in this way, over the wm notes- app, or something of that sort? Would that be quick enough?

Oh good, people are considering improving on the *****built-in Notes app for UIQ 3 (you are, aren't you Nipsen? )

Even just having the option to scroll down the screen while writing/drawing instead of trying to cram it all into the pathetic little square inch of screen space currently available for any one Note would be great !

'The Pad' (unfortunately only available for UIQ 2) was a step in the right direction.

i did just that, got a P990i and a good 2gb memory card works great with the drag drop file transfer u can use it as a harddisk also

but writing long notes is not that good but managed to write long mails on gmail only thing is the size its a little too bulky so will sell it and get a P1i or W960i later

hmmm so there its just best to use the qwerty?

instead hunting down an app -
that allows you to take notes with the styler+that has auto scroll once the screen gets full of notes
^that would be a nice little app:)
edit:thanks for help people:)
