Hi,
I've had my K850i for about a month now, took a bit of getting used to, but I like it its a good phone. Thing thats really bugging me is the shutter sounds they suck! and they are really loud. can you change them? or turn them down like the ringtone volume?

As Far As I Know, no. this phone cant be modified either. so no chance by now.

tried turning the volume down, putting the phone in silent mode, none of them make any difference.
In the settings menu, i just have 4 options to choose one of the totally horrible sounds nothing about disabling them or even just to turn the volume of them down

In the camera setting menu you can turn off the shutter sound or pic an as you say, naff alternative.
Not sure why you can't disable the sound.

Not for me, still get the shutter sound even in silent.
Also, can't turn off the sounds in the camera menu, can only chose which sound to use.

Mine (and my 1st one) are from carphonewarehouse so are un branded. Not sure that would make a difference though.

as usual (since this comes up with every phone since K700) the ability to turn off camera sound depends wholly on your region (i.e. CDA) and the only way to change that is to reflash the firmware with firmware from a different region using services such as davinci or wotan
