Or rather Phone: R9J005 ? as this seems to be a phone app problem.

Can anyone confirm that when at the phone screen, typing X#, where X = any number position in your phone book, halts the phone?

For example, "8" Typing 8# used to bring up my Home Contact. Now it goes there and the screen comes back to the standby screen with the white bar "where you are to enter a number" but wont work until I hold "Back" to get to the standby screen.

I tried it for both number of which I have a speed contact and numbers for which I do not. Anyone else?

just tried what you said and it went straight to the contact with no problems. pressing the back icon after takes you back to the standby screen with the dial window open but pressing delete or the back key closes it. this was the same for me on the original firmware.

Probably an error with your SIM card. Maybe it can't access the SIM and it hangs

Is 8 the position of your home contact on your speed dial? 1# or 2# and it doesn't do anything - i can still type a number in though. What i did find that pressing 1 and leaving it for a mo would display the speed dial for 1. Doing # then clears it. I don't remember it being any different before the update though.

@DagMX, haris_el
I just realized I don't have my numbers on my SIM, that's most likely the problem. I don't know why it didn't even occur to me.

Yep, that's right. Pressing the number and waiting shows the speed contact. It was like that before. I'm gonna try putting a number on the SIM and trying again, when I get unlazy.

yeah thats right - the contacts shortcut only reffers to SIM contacts. Works the same on every phone i've ever owned
