Do most manufacturers use one data suite for all their products?
Nokia has a standard data suite for most of their current phones.
What about SE, Motorola, etc...
I am more interested in data suites for smartphones, not basic standard handsets.

My laptop for some reason refuses to work with any Nokia data suite. I am just too tired to try and solve the problem. I am looking for a new smartphone where the data suite will work.
I used to have a T-Mobile MDA Vario II and the Microsoft Activesync worked flawlessly.
What are Motorola Data suites like? Do they come free with the handset?
Does SE have different data suites for different handsets?
(This is a separate post so the first post remains with the title.)

SE uses a seperate data / syncing application for it's smartphone range to that of it's walkman / cybershot handsets although the core functionality for interfacing (the mrouter application) is the same for all SE phones as far as I know. Correct me if I'm wrong, people!
Anyway, I've been using the smartphone suite in it's various revisions for a couple of years now and it's always been easy to set up and runs pretty flawlessly. I do get the odd 'configuration error' sometimes when booting the PC which requires a reboot to solve but that's about it.
