hi
i bought this phone when it was locked on vodafone. After unlocking it, i am able to use my '3' sim card, but there are still problems with using the browser, which is 'vodafone live' at the moment. I need to change this to planet 3 software i believe, so that i can use 3's services to download games and the 'my 3' services to check usage over the net.
i was thinking of using the sony ericcson update service (SEUS) to update the software on the phone to 3's software, but im not sure if it will do this, or simply look for a new vodafone software upgrade, and im reluctant to do anything until i have all of the facts.
will using SEUS void my warranty?... just that the phone is all of 2 weeks old, and id rather have the warranty intact.
also, does anyone know if it wil actually update the software to planet 3 or not?... just so that i dont go to the effort for nothing
will i lose anything with the update? i.e. messages, contacts, music etc.
finally, is there another way of doing what i need fone/
thanks a lot of looking

u have to debrand it first, for a normal usage. but mind, u have to make the right settings for 3, cos to access 3zone ( planet 3 ) 3 is using a special fw, but u ll be bale for it as well. just put the right settings manually from anothet k800 and it will work fine. but first get a rid of the vodafone crap

i agree with some bits of that like using the 3 versions internet profiles on your new one. but to be ohnest, the vodafone live setup is for one thing... vodafone. is it not cheaper to get Three's version of k800 i know it was a few weeks ago in three stores?
seue will not void your warranty. they made it for se users
