Hi,
I have purchased a P1i three days back. Its working ok, execpt one thing, it doesn't show the contact names from the phone book while a call coming in. Can anyone tell me how to solve this ?

have you try to erase all your contact that store in your sim card ? ...... because that cause the phone confused to chose the contact that it will show.
mine p990i and w950 had experience that before, after i erase my contact in my sim card.... both of the phone are alright..

i faced that problem about a year ago on the m600i it was due to the voice dialing,the problem occoured after i stored a few voice tags on a few contacts
and the only way i could get rid of the problem was to reflash the phone via seus then install everything from the beginning . because just deleting the voice tags didn't help. AND AFTER THAT I DIDN'T RECORD ANY VOICE TAGS for about 3 months after the third firmare upgrade that se unleashed for the phone,after that all went well.

that is the problem, if a number has more than one entry in the contacts, it will show as the number, not as any of the listed contacts, even if the 2 numbers differs in such a way as one number has country code and one only area code. this behavior ive seen with SE and nokia phones.

I have solved the problem. I just restarted the phone and the problem disappeared. Actually I copied all my contact from my previous N73 to P1i using bluetooth. Now it shows the contact names while calling and call coming in. Now when it shows the contact name its shows a + symbol along with contact name, this happens with some contacts only. Is there any explanation for this?
