Hi! mates. I have been offered a Sny Ericson p990i at a price of $308. In us dollars. Its a second hand phone. My question is that is this price worth it. The phone is still in good cond4tion 2 b resold. The dealear said if I trade in with my motorola v360 it goes down to $191 of the same currency. Should I take the phone or not. Is rt worth the offer brought foward?

I really dont know why on earth do you want to take used cells, further why dont u see other options like the P1i, you very well know that the P990i has many problems assocuated with its software and its also very slow.......

Hey for your Info, the P1i is a true hit, I have heard that iys reliable, fast even after running 15 apps at the same time......also its a true multitasking device, I really a good idea to invest now in the P1i as the next release of a SE PDA is quite far away

Well my current phone was giving me problems so I wanted a phone to use for the time being. That is why I dont mind the second hand phone for the time being. That is why I asked if the phone is worth the phone.

Then I have a simple suggestion, if its OK with you now go for a low end phone for the time being, you can always get a good deal after a few months when prices go down,

Using used cells is quite risky, one does not know the call history of that device....I hope you can understand......

I think its a good deal, especialy when trading your V360 in. Ive also heard that P990 isn't too bad with the latest firmware so id say get it and update the firmware.

I've never heard of anyone getting into bother because of a second-hand phone's call history but yes, plenty of people have had phones blocked after purchasing them because they turned out to be stolen.

$300 seems a little steep to me but if you don't mind trading in the motorola, you've got a pretty good deal there. The P990i isn't THAT bad and is certainly worth a couple of hundred bucks if it's in good condition as you say it is.

Sounds like a good deal, if it all checks out I'd go for it! Update it to the latest firmware and I can't see you having too much trouble.

Without exception ALL of my phones (apart from a free upgrade phone last year) have been second (or third/fourth!) hand, and generally unless I've bought it as faulty and it had unscheduled errors I haven't had a problem!
