I got tired of waiting... W960 isn't worth it for me anymore... got the P1i.
Now, question... is it me, or is the Contact Search bar really stupid?
On my P910i, the "Find" command could search your entire contact database... fields, notes, etc... for anything you might be searching for... even the number of someone whos name you forgot.
But the first-letter-only search on the P1i is just plain retarded. Is there a better way to search all your contacts? Is there an app that can do what the P910 could do on UIQ 2?

the last discussion of this issue from a couple of weeks ago has a 3rd party alternate suggestion which might be worth checking out

Here's The One application that SE should have included in the Firmware:

At €10.2 is not expensive and well worth it in your case.

Thanks guys... kinda disappointing to know that UIQ 2 had better contact management than UIQ 3. I wonder why they removed the search feature from UIQ 2..

ya... the W960 wait was just too ridiculous already.

Phil couldn't confirm Dec date... they even said that it "MIGHT" come in Jan yet... so forget that. I got mine from authorized

store on installment.
Did yours come with a software voucher also? I think this was the smartest thing

has done for UIQ customers!

About the keyboard, I suggest you practise a bit:
Sit down and create a new Note.
In a very calm way, place both thumbs over the keyboard while holding the phone with the other fingers.
Then write down a small story like this:
"Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far ...".
Continue writing for as long as you wish, making up your own story as you go. Don't skip punctuation.
Tip: While writing, remember to press on either side of the keys, not the middle of the key.
You'll see improvements by the end of your story.
