I confirmed it with the technical people at ATT and the GPRS is officially down in the entire New York metropolitan area (including Long Island) and there is no ETA or when it will be fixed. It apparently happened last night and there are a load of calls flooding into customer care regarding it. I wouldn't even try calling them unless I'm ready for an excess of 30 minute wait.
