Okay, so before I say my actual problem, I want to just clarify.
Before my w610i, I had a w810i, that one broke down after taking a dip in the pool with me haha. Before it drowned, I had already exchanged my HPM-70 because the volume was unbelievably low, when I got the new headset the volume was fine. They both come with the HPM-70 headset and I didn't want to open the headset that came with the w610i, so I used the one that came with the w810i. I realized that the volume was lower, in the headset, even on the w810i. I thought it was just with the w810i, but the same happened with the w610i, so I opened the ones that came with the w610i and the volume was fine.
Now, the opposite has happened. I have low volume with w610i HPM-70s and the volume is fine on the ones that came with the old w810i.
Why does this happen? Is there a quick fix for this? I don't want to change my headset after every couple of months. If the effect wasn't noticeable I wouldn't change it but this is ridiculous! I'm gonna have to go to the Sony Store and change it this week, again.
Thanks Esato!

Hi,
Its very rare that you buy a branded item from an authorised showroom and the piece turns out to be defective....
from what you have written its highly unlikely that you get two successive headsets with defects, looks like you have to check with the phone settings.
Also from where did you get the headset replaced for the W810i?
Do reply but dont be in a hurry to replace, maybe it could be a problem that could be easily fixed.....

Nono, they started out fine but after use, the volume "vanishes" if you want... I don't know how or why it does it but it's really noticeable and extremely annoying. I don't think they were defective because they would have been defective from the start. I'm going to exchange one (hopefully this week but eventually heh) of them and the other one I'm going to keep and see if it's fixable...
It's an appalling problem I hope it's fixable, I love Sony and this is the first time I've ever had any problems whatsoever with their products (I like to think this is Ericsson's fault
)... I thought it was a widespread problem... Unfortunately not I'm the only person singled-out with these problems sigh...
Edit: I'm sorry forgot to answer the rest of the question. I got my older one replaced at a Rogers store.

Hi Quicksand.
im sure you know that HPM-70 is very popular nowadays, which means:
between HPM 60,62,64,65,70,75,80,82 only HPM70 is the best seller.
it also indicates that the store MIGHT give you unoriginal HPM70.
nowadays, theres too much fake HPM70 in the market.
from the poor material HPM70 to 95% original HPM70 (good fake one).
im not saying yours is unoriginal, however there's too much HPM70 now, which means there's big number of low-quality HPM70 worldwide...
hence. try to get something uncommon like HPM75 perhaps, so that the chance of getting low-q headset would be lower.

If I could I would, but I can only exchange it for the same product at the Sony Store, and I truly hope that the Sony Store carries only the official one. I can't ask for the rarer ones, and I understand that maybe in the Rogers store I went to exchange my old ones it might have been unofficial but hopefully not in the Sony Store. I'm going to go this weekend, and I'll ask about it. Any other tips?
