For posterity, I'm posting my experience with using SEUS under Parallels 3.0 on my Macbook Pro. I had numerous failures flashing my P1i using this combo: OSX Leopard + Parallels 3.0 + Windows XP + SEUS. Thanks to gbrooks3 and XS++ 3.1 I was able to recover from the failed flashes, bu SEUS kept bricking the phone. I then installed SEUS on my Vista laptop and successfully flashed my P1i on the first try.

I have no problems yet using parallels and XS++ 3.0 or 3.1 (Except that I have to click "Connect" twice), nor have I had any problems with the PC Suite. Note that one time I did successfully flash a different P1i using SEUS and parallels, but only once.

So, in summary: if you have a Mac, use Boot Camp or a real Windows computer to flash with SEUS, or you are proceeding at your own risk.

Interesting... my experience has been the complete opposite.

So far, using SEUS on an iMac 2.4Ghz with Parallels I have successfully updated a K800, a W610 and a Z310 - all with zero problems whatsoever.

I wonder why it works for me, but not you?

I think what happens and it has been reported is that the USB support with Parralles is not the best. I would advise using VMWARE which I have managed to upgrade (Nokia obviously)with no problem what so ever.

I think this is just a parallels issue. It works like a charm on VMWare

Interesting that I seem to be the only one having problems in parallels! Those of you using parallels successfully, what versions of softwares are you using?

I'm using Parallels too and have not had any problems using either xs++ or SEUS.

I'm using Parallels 3, and did it under OS X 10.4.10 I haven't yet tried under 10.5.1
