Hi everybody,

I've too many sms in my "inbox" and "sent messages" folders and would like to delete them. Unfortunately, the "delete" line doesn't show in the options while on the first screen where messages are listed : I've to open (read) the sms to get that "delete" option in order to get rid of the message.
Now imagine you've to do that for more than 400 sms,...

Funny is that you can mark several sms but not delete them in one time. You can move the marked items but not delete them.

Does anybody know how to delete more than one sms at a time with the P990i ?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

I have a p1 and do this all the time. Maybe its just a firmware issue, have you tried updating to the latest?

I simply mark the messages and press delete in the options.

You can be right but that should be possible from very first firmware... even the cheapest SE phones can do that !!!

Here are my FW versions :
Phone = CXC162037 R9EC001
Bluetooth = CXC162058 R5A01
Organizer = CXC162036 R4B03
CDA = CDA162007/1 R4B03

That's exactly why I'm asking for help : I don't have that delete in the options.

That sounds very very strange. You can try resetting it or updating the firmware / flash it if it's the latest.

Try marking all the messages you want to delete then press the 'c' key in flip closed, or the 'backspace' key in flip open, I'm sure this worked on my old 990. I also had the latest firmware btw.
