Hi, yesterday trying to fill my P1´memory (1Gyga m2) with music using disc2phone I just left 8Mb free and then using the windows explorer of the pc renamed and moved some music files. The thing is that now the phone cant read it, cant format it and the pc cant read and format it to. what can I do? The memory worked always ok until the 93x Megas, so there were about 40 mb free. Is there any hope?. Thanks.

Sidney

you can't kill a mem card. it doesn't have a life. hehe. just kidding. is your micro memory stick an original one? or is it copycat-pirated-class A thing?

Another user had a similar problem :-

Which appeared to be a corruption on the card which then prevented windows or the phone from re-formatting it. You could try the program than LAU suggests in the thread, I myself don't think that it will solve your problem, I know that SD cards have a "secure" area which can be used to replace worn and corrupted sectors in the flash memory, but I do not know if Memory Sticks have anything similar.

Annoying as it may be, I think you will just have to replace the m2 card.

Nope, 8gb ones are supported, there have been several threads on it. The p1 should support m2's upto 32gb i believe.

thats why there is the AT THIS MOMENT enclosed. In the future when the higher capacity m2's are available, then p1 can support it (with updated firmware too of course) site recommends the max 4 gigs m2 to be used for p1
