Hello...

If im going to flash with XS++ where do i put the firmware files i have:
Z550_R6CA009_FS_APAC_RED49
Z550_R6CA009_MAIN_GENERIC_RED49
z550_APAC_Custpack

Where do i put them, which ones do i use ? so many questions lol.....

BTW What gets deleted of my phone when it has been flashed ? What will i needd to back up ?

First,

Everything in your phone, contacts, wallpapers, mp3, videofiles etc..etc gets deleted, so take a back-up of everything on a PC

Second it does not matter where you store the main (.mbn), file system (.fbn) but save the cust file in the XS++ application folder by creating a new folder in it own_custpak.

Ok thanks...so i dont want to edit my phone just upgrade it to a new firmware and have it unlocked...so do i have to use all the firmwares or are some uselesss for what im doing ?

just need a new custom pack. here is a list: http://www.topsony.com/foro/cmps_index.php?page=CDA_Z550

the custom pack contains information about the configuration, language, region, operator, and sometimes predefined images, sound and other files sometimes these files are innecessary as the operators use them to customize their phones. it's better to use a generic cda as it doesnt contain any of these files but the basic settings the phone needs.

I found my CDA its the vodafone live australia one....now how do i download it ?

So im here with an unlocked australian Z550i that has a vodafone CDA amd that custpack will work ? BTW what exactly is a custpack ?

BTW I mean that the newes firmwareis R6G and i need to get firmware files of it......where can i download these....i have looked at topsony but i have to oin then post etc.....?

BTW do i have to use a custpack and is the one u gave me generic, and when i download it is a .zip i extract it and it gives me-->tpa--> preset--->custom--->then 8 .itm files and one XML file....should i save it as .rar or something ?
