Hi Everyone,
I have been using my P1 for almost a month now and I am very happy with it.
I was thinking however, if it is possible to make the icons in the main menu smaller so that more items are visible in the grid view.
I know it is possible to change the icons, but will the icon size affect the number of icons visible at the same time in grid view or is it always only 9 of them that can be viewed?

I don't like the way screen space is used in UIQ3. For example in the file manager window, if you look the status bar, the title bar, the bottom bar, it remains only half of the screen to list the files..
Plus, I don't understand why the icon associated with a file are so big. As a result, only 3 files can be listed on the screen! (see the screen capture below)
Is there a way to reduce the icon size, or the title bar size? (i know we can "zoom out" and change the letters size)
[edit] Sry I'm wrong, It's 4 files and not 3 that can be listed. Anyway, it's not enough

As far as I know there is no way you can reduce the icon size, and if you are trying to reduce the icon size so that more items will come in the stand-by that's impossible b'coz the stand-by screen has been programmed in such a way that only 9 items should be visible.

I did not mean the stand-by screen. I only meant the min menu icons.
Is there a way to display more than 9 of them in the grid view?

If you set it to "view as list" instead of "view as grid" you'll have room for 10 small icons per screen. You can also rename Multimedia, Enternainment, Office and Tools folders to suite appropriate contents inside
