Many reasons actually
1) If you ever change your phone u dont have to go thru the painful process of transfering ur contacts
2) U can use the offline search feature of OTAM to find a contact over multiple fields(company name, notes etc.) apart from first name and last name
3) U can add contacts from the website
http://www.otam.in and look them up from ur phone on the move
4) u can use the free OTAM messaging(not SMS) to communicate with other OTAM users
