I find the phone without the flip more stable than having the flip on, but the convenient of having the flip on while doing/texting is just superb...how about you guys?

I like my p990i with the FLIP on . . .YES, aside from easy TEXTING, I FEEL more secured that my LCD/screen will not be damaged . . . even when the FLIP can ONLY make 50% protection.
