Hello i am having trouble with my sony ericsson phone.

When i try to turn on the camera it says "another application is running. Close it, and then start the camera"

I have tried resetting the phone, taking out battery, updating software and have made sure no applications are running and can not for the life of me figure out why the camera will not open.
I was given the phone by a friend who didnt want it any more so i dont know where it has come from and it was unlocked for me so i cant take it back.
I need to find a way to fix it on my own..
Does anyone know what the problem is?

I have heard about Wotan or Davinci flashing a generic firmware but have no idea what it is...helpp??

what phone you have?

i had the same prob with a friend's k790. i flashed it, changed the camdriver, but all was in vain. propably is a hardware fault.

here's a link with something related to that, but the guy never came back

my mates k800i has the same problem.

i had also reflashed it for him but it didnt make a difference.

the problem was the the black flex cable connector bit had come off of the flex cable so the cam wasnt even linked up to the phone
