I was wondering whether when you ring up customer services, can they read all the texts you send and receive just by typing your number?

No they can't, they just get billed and unbilled info as to numbers you are sending texts to.

ahh..
good ol' CS.
Newcy or Darlo?
Most Orange peeps are in Darlo, it's normally only new connections and number ports in Newcy, but in short, without numerous forms from the Police, no Orange employee can read your messages.

they can tap your mobile calls, but they need bloody good reason to do so, I even believe you have to get a court order to allow it.
So unless you're an axe murderer cum super terrorist cum IRA leader i think you should be fairly safe!
