> K850 as a music player?
Bookmark topic
I received my second K850 and i was thinking of ordering a 8gb memory card for my musoc, but i have 2 questions...
1.The sound is really bad through the speakers provided....i dont remember it being this bad before. Has anyone managed to listen to the media player through a decent set of headphones?
2.is there a cable that can make the K850 have an aux out socket so i can plug it into my car?

1. I think the sound is pretty good, but only if your mp3/aac files is in GOOD quality. The sound is shitty with too low bitrate, so dont expect HI-FI sound with 115 kbit mp3 files. I have got the hpm-70's left from my w800, and with them the sound quality sounds good.
2. I am not really sure, but many car-steroes supports bluetooth. Most bluetooth steroes also supports a2dp. Then you can hear your music from your phone on the car speakers.

I haven't compared it to w910i, but it "kill" my old w800i.. Many people says it has the same sound as w910i, and I think that is true.
You get:
CyberShot-phone with good media player and MEGABASS.
It is actually the walkman v.3 music player.
I think the headphone quality is good. But as I wrote in the above post, it is heaven and hell in difference between 115 and 320 kbit mp3 files, especially with good earbuds.
Conclusion:
- Sound quality is great with good earbuds. That also means that bad file quality is quite easy to hear and it will not be as loud as a good quality one.

It will not take much time before a acoustic mod is ready.. So that is not any issue at all.
And I do not feel the need of such a mod. It is just good enough for me.

If you want walkman-player and a good camera phone, and dont want to wait for the late spring of 2008, this is exactly ahat you are looking for.
Only real downpoint is that you can be unlucky and get a buggy one with the earliest firmware and then have to be patient for a couple of weeks for a FW update to come out on SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service). But away from that I am very pleased with my velvet blue.
Optical zoom is also a small misspoint, but if you don't want to wait for a new CyberShot phone with that feature; You can buy the k850i, you can buy the shitty samsung thingy, or you can stick with your nokia for a time.

Oh??
Are you using the earbuds from the box?
Yeah, agree with the small album art, but thats not a issue for me. If it is you try the the KD Player. It is a java media player you can download for your phone. It is many people there have made skins for it, with different sizes of the album art.
