Hi All,

I am trying to get my T39 working with Rogers AT&T (Canada) GPRS service. Since I didn't get my phone from Rogers, they would not support me on this. I searched these forums and was able to find some instructions for Rogers setup, but they were mostly for T68 and don't exactly match the T39. I tried to enter these anyhow, but WAP would not work. I think that part of the problem is that the T39 has two areas were these parameters can be entered, with some overlap in the names of parameters between the two. One area is under Setup/Data, the other is under WAP.

Here is the basic information I found from Rogers data support and from a post by Prom1:

username: wapuser1
password: wap
APN: goam.com
IP Address: 208.200.67.150
Connection mode: connection oriented
Security: on
Images: on
Response Timer: 150
Homepage: http://mymobilehomepage.rogers.com/device.asp

I also found some references to port number 9203 (in a post by Prom1), but I can't find where it can be entered on the T39.

I think I tried all possible combinations of these parameters under the two menues, except the one that works

. Depending on whether I enter these under WAP or Setup menues, it first says "Connecting", and then I keep getting different errors when I try to connect:

- bad username or password
- GPRS parameters not supported
- loading secure (but never actually loads)

I do have the GPRS indicator showing all black (above the signal meter) and my account is enabled for WAP.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Goto settings --> Data Comm
Add new account --> (any name eg Rogers GPRS)

APN --> goam.com
UserID --> wapuser1
password --> wap

lave everything as is...

Goto Wap Services ---> WAP Settings
Goto Profile 1 (rename if u like eg Rogers)
Goto GATEWAY--> IP Settings
CONNECT USING (whatever the acount u set up in Data Com)
IP address --> 208.200.067.150
LEAve everything as is....(no need to enter UserID or password)

Make sure u have your phone # set in under My NUMBERS - DATA
Best way to set it up is goto shortcuts and look for the MY NUMBERS and select it to showup in Shortcuts....then goto that shortcut and make sure u enter your cell number under DATA...

VOILA!!!! as long as u have the GPRS set up with Rogers u can surf away....
