Well, it's clear that SE has turned a blind eye to the synchronization problems in its PC Suite, about which their customers have been complaining for the last 4 years (See Thread on Duplicates).
This attitude stinks!
I've been researching the possibility of spending another USD 160 to purchase Oxygen Manager (SE should buy them out and bundle it in their phones, IMHO). I was surprised to read, though, that the product is available only on an annual subscription. So after a year, it would stop functioning!
Could anyone confirm if that is true? Or is an Oxygen Manager license a life-time license?
Anil
P.S. Let's see, my phone cost me USD 524. Add USD 25 for AquaCalendar and USD 160 for Oxygen Manager. That makes it USD 709. So far.... Not a very smart business decision on my part, I must regretfully admit..

You buy a license of Oxygen Phone Manager for Symbian OS phones for a year. After that the program will function without any limitations but you will not be able to download updates from your customer's page.
Please, note that Sony Ericsson UIQ3 phones are supported only in Family and Business licenses of Oxygen Phone Manager for Symbian OS phones.

Why's that? Because you figure that UIQ3 owners are a bit richer so you can fleece them a little bit more?
I wouldn't have minded but the Personal and Family editions don't even give you import/export.

@Oxygen, can you clarify whether the Oxygen Manager now provides a true synchronization (add/delete/modify) rather than a two-way read and write to and from the PC and phone?
If true synchronization is not provided, when do you plan to do so?

Please clarify what you mean by true synchronisation. Do you mean synchronisation with Outlook or just reading, editing and writing data to phone?

True synchronization would be where the contents of the PC and the phone are compared item by item (contact by contact, calender entry by calendar entry), then a list of items to be added/deleted/modified is created, then these are the changes carried out.
Is that what Oxygen Manager does? Or does it overwrite data onto the phone or onto the PC each time directly without doing a comparison?

Oxygen Phone Manager for Symbian OS phones does not do any comparison. It adds the new data to the existing one.
