i have use a converter its name is TOTAL VIDEO CONVERTER
search on google for "TOTAL VIDEO CONVERTER" and download it and i am telling you settings note them
first you need to install it in any directory
then run it
1) click on NEW TASK button
2) click on IMPORT files and select your file
3) after selecting file new menu will come up click on MPEG4 Video on Mobile
4) in the right side dialoge OUT PUT FIle settings click on settings button
5) in audio Tab
sampling rate --> 44100
bit rate 96 kb/s
6) In video options select
VIDEO CODEC ---> mpeg4
frame rate ---> original frame rate
bit rate ---> original bit rate
7) video resize TAB
click on QCIF(176x144)
no change in video crop and pad
9) click on SAVE&APPLY ---> save as and apply
then write name of your new settings like SONYERICSON
10) you will see profiles in right side click on your profile you have made and click button CONVERT NOW
NOTE
if you have phone like w700i k750i then use bitrate of audio 96 kb/sec and video size to 176x144
and if you have k800i or a better phone use audio bitrate to 128 kb/sec and screen size to 320x240
you can convert other files too like avi , 3gp , divx , mpeg etc
