laptop
laptop
more versatile towards gaming and performance.
macbooks are really specific to the use of it... internet and image editing lol no gaming, barely and software support,
aside from macware ( use for 21 days then you have to buy it )
mac is crap imo, but obviously everyone has theirs.

thanks for your reply.many people have recommended me that i buy a macbook the software is more stable and less likely to crash than a windows machine and is also less likely to get any virus attacks.i also prefer the look of macbooks compared to windows laptops.

Depends on what you want to do with it
If you're only ever going to use it for surfing, email, music, movies and photography (like a lot of PC users do) then a mac would be your best bet. I'm not saying that macs CAN'T do anything else, of course they can. But that's what they are set up for out-of-the-box.
The security issues with PCs are widely exaggerated these days. The major threat nowadays is phishing scams, which all computer users are susceptible to regardless of the operating system they run. A fully updated PC with an antivirus and firewall application is perfectly safe providing you use it sensibly.

Macbooks are brilliant, and its easy to run windows software on them, plus you can install windows on them. But Laptops are much cheaper.

@paul
No, not in real terms. They cost about the same as a good quality mid-spec PC laptop.

if you get a macbook with 2 gigs RAM you should consider using virtual machines of windows and linux, this means you can have all your operating systems on one machine, and they link with one another superbly, infact you can have windows windows in OSX.

You can have mac in a laptop as well
I see no point in spending extra on a macbook..
